I really enjoyed Ana's project as she went above and beyond to relate education and the purposes of education to her major, nursing. She did a great job and truly made my jaw drop. She put a lot of effort into her project and it shows!
ReplyDeleteI also really liked Juliette's project as well as it was interactive and connected to some of the films that we had either watched or mentioned in class. It was a fun quiz and allowed for her to be creative and have fun with it as well. I enjoyed doing the quiz and the questions were fun too.
I also liked Kaylyn's project as she talked about Abbott Elementary. I also added AE into my project so it was nice to see someone else using it for their project. I think she did great at analyzing the episodes and explaining the importance of their meanings.
I think all of my classmates did a great job & they worked really hard on their projects!
I felt everyone's project was very interesting, and there was a wide variety of topics. It was interesting to hear a variety of ideas and perspectives on the class. Kiari's project on black teachers was really engaging, providing a unique perspective on a topic that I had not considered prior to her presentation. I also thought Ana's project was very intriguing; I was interested in how she connected pop culture to her nursing degree and how it affects nursing students. Juliet's project was also a very creative and interesting method to make a final product for the class, and the quiz was interactive, allowing us to determine which movie from the class we related to the most.
ReplyDeleteAlong with Emma, I really liked Ana's project. She put a lot of hard work into that by making a physical book with creativity and great information! I liked how she incorporated her major into it, too. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed listening to and observing Ashley's final project. She used "teachertok" and explained numerous different trends/things teachers do on social media and related it to our course. I liked her speaking points and how many examples she gave. She not only used Tik Tok but also included a news clip in there as well. Great job.
Lastly, I enjoyed listening to Khadeeja's wrap up of what her essay consisted of. She used many different tv shows (some that we have watched in class and some not) to show humor/trends in pop culture and how it's related to education and our course. I envied the fact that she still made a presentation even though she wrote the essay, and her talking points made sense. Great job.
I think everyone did a wonderful job and I have had a great year in here with you all! Happy Winter Break :)
I enjoyed Samia's project where she analyzed two episodes of Abbott Elementary. I really like that show and the two episodes she picked were ones I remember distinctly so it was easy for me to understand how the message of the episodes applied to what we learned in class.
ReplyDeleteI also found Emma's project interesting. She examined multiple of the movies we watched for this class and in chronological order analyzed their messages about schooling. It made me realize how certain issues faced in schooling have been prevalent for decades which is very interesting.
Finally, I enjoyed Elizabeth's project where she used a movie, song, and poem and explained how they tie into our course. Specifically, the movie she analyzed titled "The Grizzlies" sounded very intriguing and it displayed how school and extracurricular activities can be a tool to help kids stay or get back on the right track.
Based on what I saw it seems like everyone put a lot of thought into their projects and it was cool to see how a lot of people incorporated aspects of their life (major, friends, relatives, personal interests) into their projects.
I really liked Toris project because of how she took something that she saw herself in her use of social media and her lens into pop culture to base the project off of it.
ReplyDeleteI liked Elizabeths because I could really see the connection to the purpose of the class and same with Maxines.
I really enjoyed hearing about everyone's projects!
I really liked Elizabeth's project on the film "The Grizzlies" I enjoyed how she incorporated themes from the class as well as a poem, and music to illustrate the meaning of the film and it's correlation with her thoughts on education.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Juliet's project I like how interactive it was for the audience. I enjoyed the little quiz she created for the audience. It reminded me of the buzzfeed quizzes I would take in highschool.
Lastly, I personally believe everyone did an excellent job. Everyone had their own spin of the final project. I enjoyed seeing everyone's different setups such as podcasts, booklets, collages, and memes.
I really enjoyed Emma's project because she went into detail about every movie we have watched in class and really connected everything very well and in chronological order. I also really like Brianna's project as I thought it was really funny and relatable. I also really enjoyed Juliette's project as she thought outside the box and made a quiz for everyone to take and I thought that was really creative and fun. I personally loved everyone's projects and I think everyone did an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteI really liked Ana's project and how she had a physical copy of her project. Having a physical copy of her project was interesting. I also enjoyed Juliet's project. I liked how it was interactive and we could answer questions to get a movie that was based on the answers to our questions. Kiari's project was very interesting also. I liked how she did her project on black educators. I really liked the slide on the "mean" teachers but in reality, the things they were saying are true.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Ana's project. Her connections with the class to her major were interesting to hear about. I liked how she had a physical representation of her project and then the design elements she had. Gabby's project was really cool to look at. I enjoyed how she took ideas and thoughts we made as a class and created a visual representation collage. Juliette's project was interactive and fun! I loved doing those quizzes when I was little, so it was nostalgic. Overall, I really enjoyed everyone's projects and what they chose to do.
ReplyDeleteI liked how Juliet’s project was different from what anyone else did, and that we were able to interact with it, while still it being related to the movies we watched. I liked how the questions were based on things like what you would wear, where you’d go for lunch, and ,they compare to the themes, or stereotypes, of how the characters in the movies are perceived. I enjoyed Brianna’s project as well, and liked how each meme went just right with the pictures from some of the films and shows we watched. I also liked Ana’s project and how she tied the nursing field and how it's perceived to some of the things we’ve learned about in this course. I’m in the same field and watched a lot of medical shows and some of the one’s she talked about and definitely see that how they depict the field in shows, and movies isn’t exactly the same as the real thing.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Briana's project. I like how she interviewed her family member, who has been a principal at all school levels. It was really interesting to get that perspective and how she connected it to a Different World. I also like Gabby's project and how she did hers on what interested her from the class. I also enjoyed Joey, Adair, and Kylan's project. I liked how they watched different tv shows and movies that they watched and compared them to thier college and high school experience.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Gabby's project. It was nice to see graphics of all the things we covered and discussed over the semester. I also really enjoyed Brianna's project with the memes. They were honestly really funny and pretty relatable. I also enjoyed Adair, Joey, and Kylan's podcast project. I also did a project so it was nice that we both did them but did it differently.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed following along Khadeeja's powerpoint about her essay, and I really liked hearing about how she was able to apply what we learned from the TV shows we watched in class to other shows and some she may have watched out of class.
ReplyDeleteI found Juliet's project to be really creative and fun to interact with, and I loved her written-up descriptions for the results. Since she had already seen the movies before having our movie unit (aside from one), I thought making the little quiz was a good idea with her better grasp of the films.
Lastly, I liked hearing Maleah talk about her podcast. I'm sure the actual audio was very insightful to the different perspectives of the "hosts," especially considering the generational gap with her mother and the difference in subjects of education with her other "hosts."
Juliet's project really caught my attention because it was different from the rest. It gave us the chance to interact with it, while still connecting to the movies we watched. The questions, like what we’d wear or where we’d go for lunch, were a unique way to explore how the characters in the films were perceived based on themes and stereotypes.
ReplyDeleteI also really enjoyed Brianna's project. The way each meme added a new twist to the ideas we were discussing made it a fun and interesting experience.I really enjoyed Gabby's project. It was nice to see graphics of all the things we covered and discussed over the semester. I also really enjoyed Brianna's project with the memes. They were honestly really funny and pretty relatable. I enjoyed Tori's presentation about Duolingo. Her analysis was very engaging, and the use of visuals to support her points was especially effective. I also appreciated Ana's project; it was physical, and the colors, wording, and information were excellent. Lastly, I can't quite remember the name, but there was someone who did a podcast that I enjoyed. I liked how she explained her interviews with people who had different views on education and how much things have changed. or how they view it ?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Juliet's project and how it was a really cool and interactive idea that was super fun to see the results of.
ReplyDeleteI also liked Maleah's project and thought hearing from all the different perspectives on the thoughts of schooling if I remember correctly was very interesting.
Another project that I thought was really good was Kiari's, how she connect the experiences of black teacher content creators and how it is reflected in different was either positively or negatively was very well thought out.
Aliyah Ibrahim- I really enjoyed this class which is what made my final project simple to complete because of the fact that I could write from everything that i've learned in this class and how i can cooperate it into my essay. I know toris project was about how duolingo is in today's society, I also know someone was doing a podcast which I think is very engaging.
